Vocational Training to Dropout Girls of Gondlamau and Misrikh Blocks of Sitapur
Objectives
- To enhance livelihood skills and capacities of adolescent girls and young women to secure sustainable livelihoods through Vocational Training Centre (VTC)
- To enhance and provide basic inputs for personality development and life skills for the trainees for better quality of life
- To create a system and procedure that would be contributing to evolve the Vocational Training Centre (VTC) as a self-sustaining initiative in future
Activities
Operating training centre on vocational training on tailoring and beautician course
Expected Outcomes
- 80 girls and young women trained in tailoring and beautician courses and have enhanced skills to start self-employment venture
- At least 80 per cent trained girls and young women started self-employment venture by the end of the training
- At least 80 per cent girls have improved their personality and have greater capacity to counter gender issues in families and society and seek to live a better quality of life
- At least 80 per cent semi-literate girls/women have improved competencies in literacy and numeric while receiving vocational training and enhanced their entrepreneurial skills
