Vocational Training to Dropout Girls of Gondlamau and Misrikh Blocks of Sitapur

Objectives

  • To enhance livelihood skills and capacities of adolescent girls and young women to secure sustainable livelihoods through Vocational Training Centre (VTC)
  • To enhance and provide basic inputs for personality development and life skills for the trainees for better quality of life
  • To create a system and procedure that would be contributing to evolve the Vocational Training Centre (VTC) as a self-sustaining initiative in future

Activities

Operating training centre on vocational training on tailoring and beautician course

Expected Outcomes

  1. 80 girls and young women trained in tailoring and beautician courses and have enhanced skills to start self-employment venture
  2. At least 80 per cent trained girls and young women started self-employment venture by the end of the training
  3. At least 80 per cent girls have improved their personality and have greater capacity to counter gender issues in families and society and seek to live a better quality of life
  4. At least 80 per cent semi-literate girls/women have improved competencies in literacy and numeric while receiving vocational training and enhanced their entrepreneurial skills
