Shashwat Sahbhagi Sansthan

Shashwat Director Devendra Misra is an accomplished development professional with a work experience of almost two decades. He is a community mobiliser, trainer and institution builder, all in one.

Misra holds Masters’ degree in social work with specialisation in human resource management and development, Master’s degree in rural sociology, and Bachelor’s degree in law.

Prior to heading Shashwat, Misra worked with organisations like Sahbhagi Shikhsan Kendra (SSK), Uttar Pradesh Voluntary Action Network (UPVAN) and National Institute Peoples for Cooperation and Child Development (NIPCCD).

While working with these organisations he developed interest in training, conducting workshops and providing support to other organisations. During his stints with these organisations, Misra developed capacity in NGO management, capacity building, human resource management, local self-governance and self-help groups. His areas of training include SHGs, micro-planning, panchayati raj, reproductive and child health, communication and team building.

Apart from heading Shashwat Sahbhagi Sansthan, Misra is providing consultancy services to a number of organisations, both non-governmental and governmental. The notable among these are Sahbhagi Shikshan Kendra, Catholic Relief Services, Vatsalya, World Vision India, NIPCCD, NABARD, SIFPSA, SIRD, AJEEVIKA, etc. Additionally he is providing consultancy to the government departments like panchayati raj, rural development and health.
