Women Education and Literacy Programme
Objectives
- To promote women’s (especially women from marginalised communities) literacy and numeracy programmes that enable and strengthen:
- empowerment processes;
- women’s livelihood;
- women’s group and its leadership;
- women’s participation in panchayats and school management committees (SMCs);
- women’s access to rights and entitlements (MNREGA; monitoring of rights like the right to education or information)
- To demonstrate qualitative and quantitative impact of literacy and numeracy in the areas mentioned above
- To promote the development of gender-sensitive and context-specific literacy programmes, teaching learning material and curricula
- To build capacities of the organisation (SSS) in the area of women’s literacy and empowerment
Activities
Running women literacy centre 16 and 480 women are getting facility.
Expected Outcomes
All 480 women attain literacy and numeracy skills have developed capacity of reading, writing and solving basic arithmetic and at least 70 per cent have applying these skills in their real life context
