Nurturing active and responsible youth by promoting constitutional values among them

Shashwat is committed to nurturing active and responsible youth by promoting constitutional values among both young men and women in rural communities. Through its ongoing initiative, the organisation has supported the formation and strengthening of youth groups, bringing together 15 motivated young people to understand their rights, duties and the democratic principles that guide our society.

Regular sessions on constitutional values have helped participants connect these concepts to their daily lives, encouraging them to think critically and act collectively for positive change. As the youths engaged more deeply, they began identifying issues affecting their villages and worked together to design meaningful responses.

With Shashwat’s facilitation, several community-driven social action projects have emerged, including efforts to improve access to social security schemes, setting up a computer literacy centre for local children and youth, and establishing a Rojgar Suchna Kendra to provide updated employment-related information. These initiatives reflect the growing leadership, awareness and civic spirit among the youth, demonstrating how constitutional values can inspire real and lasting community development.
