Words that Encourage Us

Sharda | Sitapur district | Education

Earlier my son used to roam around the village and did not go to school. After the education interventions started, teachers visited our homes and motivated us. Now he studies with interest and says he wants to become a teacher. I feel very happy seeing his progress.

Durgesh | Hardoi district | Health

Earlier we did not know much about health. We used to go to the doctor only when someone got very sick. After this project started, health workers come to our village and teach us about cleanliness, vaccination and good food. Now our children stay healthy and we feel safer.

Divya | Firozabad district | Livelihood

Before this project, my husband’s income was not enough for our family. I joined the women’s group and learnt stitching. Now I take small orders from nearby villages. I earn a little every month and help at home. People respect me more, and I feel proud of myself.

Sapna | Sitapur district | Youth

Before this programme, we did not know much about our rights and duties. After joining the youth meetings, I learnt about equality, respect, and justice. Now we discuss village issues peacefully and help others without discrimination. I feel proud to be an aware citizen of our country.
